Membership Options and Applications
The Broker in
your new office determines whether or not they
wish to hold membership in the REALTOR®
Association. When he/she elects to hold
membership, you may choose to have REALTOR®
membership . We do not mandate membership,
however, should you elect not to join, your
broker will be assessed a fee for having a
non-REALTOR® licensee in his/her
office. We suggest you speak directly with your
Broker about REALTOR® membership.
REALTOR®
membership is three-tiered. Members also belong
to the Minnesota Association of REALTORS®
and to the National Association of REALTORS®.
A
REALTOR® may be a licensed Real
Estate Salesperson (or Agent), Broker or
Appraiser. REALTORS®
belonging to the Duluth Area Association of
REALTORS® must be licensed by the
State of Minnesota to sell real estate or be a
licensed appraiser.

Agent / REALTOR® Member
This
membership is for licensed real estate agents,
brokers, and appraisers. If you are a licensed
real estate agent, it is required that your firm
or broker is a REALTOR® member. In order for your application to be processed you will
need to provide a copy of your real estate
license.

Secondary Members
Secondary
members are REALTORS® whose primary
membership is held with another local REALTOR®
association. NAR and MAR membership dues are
paid through their primary association and all
that is paid to DAAR are DAAR membership dues
and MLS fees (if applicable). If their primary
association is in a different state, they may
also pay MAR dues to DAAR.
Affiliate Members
Affiliate membership is comprised of people
involved in a business related to real estate
but who are not a licensed Real Estate
Salesperson, Broker or Appraiser. Examples:
mortgage companies, home inspectors, title
companies, staging companies, etc.

MLS Options
The Duluth Area Association
MLS covers Pine, Carlton, Southern St. Louis, Lake and
Cook County.
MLS Participation Agreement
MLS Only Members
This
membership provides for companies that are
already members of another REALTOR® Association
to participate in the Duluth Area MLS without having to join
the Association.
MLS ONLY Membership Application - Duluth Area

Sold Only Members
This membership provides for companies that are
already members of another REALTOR® Association
to participate in the Duluth Area MLS without having to join
the Association.
They will only receive MLS access for
properties that have sold.
